What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave Therapy is a non-surgical treatment of soft tissue, bone, and joint pain. The practitioner applies a conductive gel on the area and moves the hand piece in a circular motion over the treatment area. Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) sends high-energy mechanical pulses to the treatment area. These high-energy mechanical pulses stimulate the breakdown of scar tissue and fibroblasts in the targeted area thus improving blood circulation in the area and initiating metabolic activity and an inflammatory response that promotes and stimulates healing.
Generally 3 - 6 treatment sessions are reguired, with each session lasting approximalely 15 minutes.
Treatment cost: Initial treatment $150.00
Subsequent treatments $90.00
